Guru Prachi Dixit is a teacher, performer, and choreographer of Kathak dance. She started her training at the tender age of four and started performing at seven years old. Prachi teaches and performs in the traditional Jaipur Gharana style of Kathak dance. Her achievements in this style are accredited to her first renowned guru, the Late Shri Kanhiya Lal. She is currently a disciple of Guru Smt. Shoba Koser. Prachi also received training in vocal music from the renowned guru of Agra Gharana Shri Akheel Ahmad Khan. She holds a BA Degree in Indian Classical Music, Prabhakar Degree in Dance.
Prachi has taken the dream of her guru of teaching and touching as many lives as possible with Kathak and Indian Classical music. She has worked with school systems in the US, performing and conducting workshops and several summer camps.
