Founded in 1957, NHAPA has provided quality training to more than 20,000 students and 3 generations. Headed by Founder/Director, Marie Patent, NHAPA's professional faculty bring a wealth of knowledge, training, and experience to students. Mrs. Patent is a 50-year accredited member of the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston, Dance Masters of America, and Dance Educators of America. She is also a member of the National Council of Dance Teachers with the American Society of Dance and has received many awards for her choreography, including DEA's President's Cup in 1997.

The New Hampshire Academy of Performing Arts offers a new 5,000 square foot facility with floating floors, professional certified faculty, Broadway quality performances, and a company program/intensive study.
