In 1976, Bob Cherry took over and changed the name to "The Saloon Across the Street From the Eagle River Hotel". He put together the original menus featuring his love for game birds, ribs, and Mexican flavors. Then, in 1986, Andy Kaufman, Steve Campbell, and their partners bought the restaurant. Today, Steve and Andy have over 70 years of restaurant experience between them and still enjoy coming into the Minturn Saloon each day.
