Business Description
Cheryl Giballa, founder of Mindbody Pilates in Avalon, NJ, Certified in Pilates in 2003 and Yamuna Body Rolling® in 2004. In 2007 Cheryl obtained her certification through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). This PMA Pilates Certification Program is the only program granted accreditation by the NCCA for demonstrating compliance with the NCCA Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs. NCCA is the accrediting body of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.
Cheryl has also received the designation of "Lolita San Miguel Pilates Master" in October 2010 as a result of a two-year 200-hour training program with Lolita. Lolita San Miguel and Kathleen Stanford Grant were the only two teachers officially certified by Joseph Pilates himself. By way of this direct lineage with Joe, Lolita is considered a "First Generation Pilates Teacher." Therefore, as a result of this Master Mentor Program with Lolita, Cheryl has become a "Second Generation Master Pilates Teacher."
