Ellis began the van rental business in 2005 from his home. He gradually increased his fleet to 6 vehicles when he combined his fleet with another, added 2 more owners, and moved to a new location in Kalona, now managed by his sister, Julia. Our fleet is currently at 25, which includes 2 minivans. Current owners are Ellis & Hannah Helmuth & Alvin & Julia Kramer. Ellis is an ASE Certified Master Tech and part owner of Kalona Auto Service & Parts. Alvin is an ASE Certified Service Manager and also part owner of Kalona Auto Parts & Service. Ellis is the General Manager of Midway Van Rental and does the majority of maintenance & repairs.
