Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Wooster, Ohio, sits the charming Market Street Inn Bed and Breakfast. This three-story Victorian home, built in 1897, is not only a local landmark but also a tribute to the rich history of Wooster.

Market Street Inn offers six beautifully appointed guest rooms, each with a private bath and luxurious linens and bedding. Guests can start their day with a delicious full breakfast, featuring fresh baked scones, fruit and granola, and a daily entree. Market Street Inn's history is as fascinating as its architecture. Built by Walter D. Foss, longtime president of the Wooster Brush Company and a leading businessman, the home features original woodwork, hardwood and parquet floors, period stained-glass windows, and restored embossed ceilings. The serpent at the peak of the house was a gift from China, where Mr. Foss purchased hog hair for his company's brushes. In 1932, Mr. Foss gifted the home to a local church to be used as an annex. Earl and Marie Shaffter purchased the home in 1942 and used it as their residence and Mrs. Shaffter's law office. Douglas and Jamie Klingelhoefer purchased the house in 1995 and began its painstaking period restoration and opened the Bed and Breakfast.

Market Street Inn is now proudly owned by Allan and Jayne Churchmack, who have fulfilled their lifelong dream of owning and operating a Bed and Breakfast. Jayne, with 20 years of experience in the sports and hospitality industry, recently retired from the Cleveland Indians after 20 years as senior leader and first and only female Vice President of Merchandising and Food service for the organization. Allan, who continues as General Counsel for Arhaus Furniture and is also an adjunct faculty member at Ursuline College, grew up in a family of restaurant and bar owners and has a passion for food.
