Two years later at 25, he became a yacht captain in the sailboat charter industry in the Greek Islands. Over the next three charter seasons, he skippered sailboats from 35 to 50 ft.

In 1996, with his wife and two young kids, Marc completed three round trips to Mexico's west coast on his 33ft Roger Simpson designed catamaran. He sailed around the world on his catamaran, Imani, with his family from 1999 to 2004, westbound, via Suez and Panama Canals.
