Owner Rebecca Rothstein, who has a Master's in Early Childhood, Childhood, and Museum Education from Bank Street Graduate School of Education, imagined this Children's General Store & Playhouse while teaching Pre-K in the city. After moving to the Hudson Valley in 2010, she opened Little Pickles Family Day Care out of her home. Eventually, Rebecca partnered with Laura Pelosi, who had recently moved to the Hudson Valley, to bring the Children's General Store & Playhouse to life. Little Pickles opened on October 15th, 2014.
