I became a profession in 1994 after playing collegiate golf at CSU, Stanislaus where I left as the all-time scoring leader and 3 time All-American. After competing professionally in Canada, the west coast, and Florida the following couple of years I turned to the club pro ranks. In 1996 I became a Head Professional at River Creek Golf Course and then Merced Hills Golf Club in 1997. In 2000 I left to go to Del Rio Country Club eventually becoming Director of Instruction and Director of the junior golf program. In 2011 I decided to start the Lance Johnson Golf Academy so that I could help golfers of all levels become the best they could.
