Master Daymon Kenyon earned his midnight blue belt (equivalent to a black belt in other styles) in 1976 at the age of 12. At the age of 18, he became the primary instructor at the studio. In 1986, he was overall Grand Champion in the Tang Soo Do International Championships held in England. Shortly after his father's passing in 1988, he earned his 4th degree by successfully completing the grueling eight-day examination (Kodanja Shimsa) required by the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation, and then went on to earn the title of Master Instructor. In 2007, he earned and was awarded the rank of 7th degree.
Master Kenyon is the senior member of the Technical Advisory Committee, responsible for setting and maintaining the standardization of Soo Bahk Do techniques in the United States. He is also an appointed member of the Board of Directors for the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation. He is a personal student of current Soo Bahk Do Grandmaster H.C. Hwang.
