Jacobo's journey in the makeup industry began in Barcelona, Spain in 1998, where he had the opportunity to work with several incredible makeup artists and fashion designers while supporting a performance group called Los monstruos de Ibiza. Through this experience, he developed a love for the art of makeup and knew that he wanted to pursue it as a career. Jacobo went on to enroll in the Stick Art Studio (Makeup Forever) in Barcelona in 1999, where he trained under the mentorship of Corinne Perez.

Following graduation, Jacobo worked as an intern on several movie films and television networks. He had many opportunities to travel around the world and work with some of the big names in the industry, including Jorge De La Grarza, MAC Cosmetics, and Dior, among others. In 2010, he decided to branch out on his own and opened Jacks Von Liria Cosmetics in Indianapolis.
