Joan Albright is the Director of the Huntington Center for Performing Arts. After a successful career as a corporate attorney, she founded the Center in order to house the ballet company she had supported for many years - Huntington Ballet Theatre D/B/A LI Ballet Theatre. A ballet school was started to support the facility and the mission of the ballet company and then the Huntington Suzuki School was added a few years later. Ms. Albright currently teaches violin in the Suzuki school and has developed a musical theater program which now mounts a full length production each spring. The Center continues to develop new programming for its students to master and the surrounding community to enjoy through various performances throughout the year.
