My Story
My passion for the river started when I first ran the Guadalupe River in Texas. It was with a church group, I had the worst water shoes, hard clear plastic and painful. But the trip was great, we had to portage around a waterfall we had to portage and I remember the thrill of being on the water.
Years later I would be a camp director and river guide on the Salmon River in Idaho and the Snake River in Wyoming. These were thrilling adventures guiding groups through class II and class III rapids in Kayaks and Rafts.
It was on the Salmon that I drove the large bus with tandem trailers on the worst river roads I have ever seen.
