Christopher holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University and a Master's of Fine Arts degree in dance from Arizona State University . Christopher has developed extensive expertise in The Pilates Method over the course of his 38 year teaching career, with many master teachers. He was certified first by Romana Krysanowska through The Pilates Studio of NYC, and later by Michele Larsson of Core Dynamics Pilates Teacher Training. Prior to Healing Motion, he co-founded and directed Wellspring Studio and was a faculty member of Core Dynamics Pilates teacher training program. Additionally, he has successfully conducted scientific research demonstrating the effectiveness of Pilates for individuals with low back pain, and is a guest lecturer in alternative physical therapy modalities at Slippery Rock University. Chris was also company physical therapist for Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and worked at UPMC Center for Sports Medicine for two years.
