Greek Souvlaki is a fast, casual Greek dining restaurant located in Murray, UT. It was founded in 1972 by Lee and Mary Paulos, who were the first to bring yeeros (gyros) to Utah. The idea of opening a restaurant came to Lee on a family visit to Greece, where he noticed tourists loved the yeeros. At first, Greek Souvlaki only sold three items: yeeros, souvlaki, and beefteki. The red sauce was the specialty sauce, and white sauce was added many years later.
With Mary's homemade recipes and Lee's inventive and creative mind, they added many other items to their menu. Today, Greek Souvlaki has grown with four additional stores since Lee and Mary retired in the year 2000. Their sons Frank, Leo, and Chris have taken over the business and are using the same recipe for success: great customer service, good quality products, and absolute dedication.
