Business Description
Shawn Mielke has been in the fitness industry since 2003. She attended the University of Michigan to obtain a degree in Communications and Marketing. She has always believed in living a healthy lifestyle. After college she excepted a position as the Membership Director at a gym on the East Side of Michigan. While working there, she knew that was what she wanted to do with her life!
After moving to West Michigan to be closer, to her now husband of 6 years, she obtained a manager position at a local all women's gym. After working at this gym for a year, she then purchased it and turned it into what is now Girlfriends Fit Club. She is a strong believer in locally owned businesses and is on the committee for Local First.
