The history of the shop dates back to 1972 when Dick Beckley opened it in the brand-new Frederick Towne Mall. After 40 years of barbering in Frederick, Mr. Beckley retired, and the shop was turned over to Dennis Culler and John Stillrich, their respective managers. In July 2006, the shop relocated to its present location of 1219 B West Patrick on the Golden Mile, behind Denny's restaurant.

The shop is now owned and operated by Amanda Blumenauer and Kevin Fogg, who are both longtime employees of the shop.
