Peggy is a founding board member and artist in Gallery Moab LCA. She is a retired Elementary School Teacher and began managing the gallery a few years ago as it became evident that decisions and day to day management with 20 independent artists was a little chaotic and certainly not efficient. She said with 31 years of herding kids it was natural to take on artists.
Peggy pursued various artistic endeavors throughout most of her life, but shortly before retiring she began working in pastel. Her pastels have won awards in various shows. She belongs to the Colorado Pastel Guild and is a founding member of the Moab Pastel Guild which meets weekly to collaborate. Quilting is her other passion. She belongs to Delicate Stitcher's Quilt Guild and makes traditional and art quilts. "Being creative whether through teaching, painting, or quilting is a way of life. Showcasing one's art and being part of the comradery of a Co-op Gallery is very rewarding."
