From Stage To Screen Acting Studio is a performing arts and dance school located in Highland, NY 12528 that specializes in teaching acting, voice, and dance for kids and adults ages 5 and up. The studio is a full-service conservatory program with New York City-trained teachers who balance a fun, welcoming, and safe environment with professional-level teaching, allowing students to grow as performers.

The studio also offers theatrical performances for the community, divided into two categories: Community Shows and Company Productions. Community Shows allow anyone to audition, and the only commitment required is time. Company Productions are a hybrid acting class and full-scale performance with lights, scenery, and costumes. These shows are for kids and teens and are paid classes, but everyone who auditions is guaranteed a part in the show!

From Stage To Screen Acting Studio was started as a small business with two co-owners, Sally Kaplan and Camille Bozek. The goal was to provide fun, affordable theater education for ages 5-18. The studio began by renting out 2 hours on Saturday mornings at the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Studio in Poughkeepsie, a historic landmark and beautiful small theater. As their customer and teacher base grew over the years, they outgrew their 2 hours on Saturday mornings, so in 2013, they moved to Highland. They now have their very own space, and with it, they can offer more diverse classes at more times and reach a new group of talented people with their unique brand of fun and effective theater training.

Michael Kaplan has been teaching acting around the Hudson Valley for over 10 years and has also been working as a vocal coach for From Stage To Screen Acting Studio for 3 years. He has been in numerous productions over the course of his lifetime and directed a large number as well. Michael has trained voice and acting for many years in New York City under Weist-Baron, Bob Marks, Samuel E. Wright, Bob Luke, and Glenn Alterman, to name a few. He recorded the original promotional CD of Michael Berkeley's "Off the Wall". Professionally, he has performed voice-over commercials for Nabisco Fun Fruits, Coca-Cola, Drug-Free America, and Phillip Morris, and appeared in the "House of D" with Robin Williams and David Duchovny. He is represented by the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
