Flare is a performing arts center located in Red Bluff, CA that is dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams. Krysta Shaw-Stearns, the owner of Flare, purchased the studio space in April 2014 from the Mist family. She changed the focus of the studio from purely dance into a center for the arts to thrive. Krysta has a passion for performing as well as teaching and helping others to succeed. She believes that everyone should have an outlet that makes them feel confident in who they are and what they can accomplish through hard work. Krysta also has experience working with the deaf and special needs children in an educational setting and as an interpreter, which is why she openly welcomes all special needs students at her studio.

Krysta is a passionate performer who loves sharing her passion with others. Born and raised in Redding, CA, Krysta began her training at Redding Dance Centre. She has been dancing for more than ten years and has pursued many styles of dance including jazz, modern, hop-hop, tap, swing, cheer, and her specialty, ballet. At Shasta High School she was an avid participant in the choir program. It was through choir that she was introduced to the world of musical theatre and found her calling. She is now a graduate of San Jose State University with a B.A. Special Major in Musical Theatre with an emphasis in dance.

The studio is known for its friendly and welcoming environment where students of all levels are encouraged to create and accomplish their own individual goals. Every member of the community deserves to have an outlet that makes them feel good about who they are, which is why Flare offers services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and other special needs communities.
