Founded by MaryRose and Michelle in February 2015, both with over 500 hours trained in Hot Vinyasa yoga of various styles, the team at Firefly's training comes from many teachers around the world with a strong focus on Baptiste Yoga. MaryRose is a certified Baptiste Power vinyasa yoga instructor on her 500 hr path, in addition to completing 200 hours with the Barkan Method in 2011. Michelle also certified with the Barkan Method in 2011 and continues her journey with Jimmy Barkan in 2017, becoming a 500-hr senior Barkan Method instructor as well as working towards her 200-hr Baptiste Institute certification.

Firefly Yoga was founded with the mission to create a unique yoga community where everyone is welcome, perfect just as they are, and each teacher/leader is there to inspire possibility and growth. MaryRose Donaghy, a FIT to lead Baptiste Graduate who has completed over 1500 hours of training with the Baptiste institute, opened Firefly yoga in an effort to share her passion for the transformation that yoga can empower and create in your life. She leads annual teacher training programs, workshops, and 40-day programs.
