Ryoko Takayama (Ree-Yo-Ko) is a highly educated and trained acupuncturist. She began her education at the Meji University of Oriental Medicine in Kyoto Japan; the first college in Japan to offer a bachelor's degree in the field of Acupuncture. She received her Japan Acupuncture License in 1995 and her Bachelor of Arts in Acupuncture and Moxibustion in 1996. Ryoko worked as an acupuncturist in several hospitals in Japan over the next 5 years; seeing as many as 30 patients a day.
In 2001, Ryoko emigrated to the United States to practice Acupuncture. She entered Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley to begin her American Acupuncture studies and accreditation.
Ryoko also worked at AIMC and quickly rose to the level of clinic manager there while successfully opening her own acupuncture clinic in Marin County which has recently expanded into Orange County.
