Rima moved to Eureka in 2006, and had no place to shop for fine fabrics. She's been sewing since she was six years old, and couldn't stand the idea of not being able to buy local. In 2009 she finally took the leap and opened her first shop in Henderson center, expanding to Old Town in 2010.
Rima's been a costume designer for many years, starting with ballet companies in Los Angeles, and then costuming international touring company Campanile from 1986 to 2006.
In addition to owning Eureka Fabrics, Rima is the Head of the Costume Department at North Coast Dance, the resident ballet company of the Arkley Center for the Performing Arts.
Rima is joined at Eureka Fabrics by assistants, Leslie and Mary, who are all skilled sewers, and happy to help you find the very best materials for your projects.
