Business Description

I started working for The Dewitt County Human Resource Center (now called Encore Developmental Services), a non-profit agency dedicated to improving quality of life and independence for adults with disabilities, in 2000 as a Direct Service Provider (DSP).

Right away I gained a passion for advocating for the rights and well being of the clients we serve. I have since received a degree in Human Services Management.

Back in 2000 the employment training program was a contract for recycling paper, plastic, and tin. Today, the employment training program is Encore Thrift Store.

Our clients and staff love getting to interact with our wonderful customers while earning wages and learning. We all enjoy being able to offer a needed service to people in our community by providing affordable shopping opportunities.

Come in and meet our clients and all of our amazing staff. At the same time you can browse our amazing warehouse filled with fun and unique treasures.
