Business Description
Decatur Athletic Club began as a six court tennis club in 1972. Owner Bob O'Connell, a tennis enthusiast himself purchased the club in 1979 and is still the owner today. The club has grown to become a leader in the upscale tennis and fitness club industry in central Illinois. Tennis is a competitive sport for Decatur in Central Illinois; we've been the area's premier tennis club since 1972. Our clubs continue to offer world-class indoor and outdoor tennis instruction with Pros, Chuck Kuhle and Cory Sandgren.
We aren't just a Tennis center. The club has grown to meet the needs of our members. We are a full fitness facility for people of every age and fitness level.
The club has two swimming pools, both located on site. A Warm water indoor pool at Kids-N-Fitness and a year round club pool within the facility.
