I have been a swimmer and swim instructor since my freshmen year in high school (1999). Although I was never a very fast swimmer, I was always told that I'm a great swim instructor. I'm also passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in the world, which is why I started my own swim program in 2010. I realized the lack of individualized swim programs after my experience teaching group and private swim lessons through the city of Bellevue and a few other swim programs. This was especially evident for individuals with atypical behaviors and/or sever fear of the water. When I informed a mother of one of the children I used to work with in a pre-school setting about the idea of me starting my own swim program, her excitement confirmed even more the need to do this! Years later, a full time high school teaching career, and I'm continuing to teach swimming during the summer time. I'm so thankful for all the families that trusted in me and continue to do so.
