At the age of 8 years old, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, Jon Zoog, began playing drums after receiving a snare drum from his grandma. He studied through elementary and middle school, becoming highly motivated in high school and began playing in the school marching band, jazz band and orchestra.
After high school, Jon began playing and touring locally and nationally with many different bands and groups, including one of the most challenging drum-set positions with the Ringling Brother's Barnum and Bailey Circus in 2002. Jon went on a national world tour with Ringling playing most major arenas in the U.S., Canada and Mexico until 2004, playing over 400-600 shows a year. In 2005, he decided to move to Nashville to pursue more artist tours and studio/session work.
In 2009, Jon moved to Dallas, Texas to continue his music career. He began building custom drums as a hobby until the demand for his drums became high. And so Dallas Drum was founded in 2011 and has continued to flourish.
