Business Description
I have managed the Clarkston Farmers Market since 2017. I began as a vendor in 2013 selling eggs and produce and was asked to take over managing the market when the previous manager stepped back from management duties.
In 2019, I worked with city officials to transition our market to our current location, Beachview Park, a public city park to accommodate a larger vendor population due to increased vendor interest but limited by the small parking lot it was operating in. In 2023, I applied and attained 501(c)3 nonprofit status for the market to expand opportunities for funding and programming.
I have over 35 years customer service and retail experience, over 15 years as a small business owner, including a small farming operation, plus six years of nonprofit work. My education and experience has provided me with expertise in areas such as information, technology, small business entrepreneurship, small acreage farming, and nonprofit and public sector programming.
