Business Description
Kris Ebner Martin, daughter of Buzz and Sherry Ebner (Directors Emeritus of Camp Awosting), has been Director of Camp Chinqueka for 10+ years, having grown up at the camp and been involved in the management and administration for nearly 25 years. Kris was a camper at Chinqueka from age 5 to 15 and has been a staff member at both Awosting and Chinqueka ever since, including Head Counselor, Program Director and Waterfront Director. Kris is also extremely active with the American Camp Association year round and is very highly regarded in the New England camping community.
Kris has a B.A. in Organizational Leadership and a M.A. in Education and has 2 sons, Hugh and Bryan. Her younger son, Hugh, is a camper at Awosting and her older son, Bryan, was a camper at Awosting for many years and is now at college in Missouri. Although she lives on campus for the summer, her year round residence is just down the road from Chinqueka.
