Dr. Jeffrey Clauss holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Upsala College and a Doctorate in Optometry from the State University of New York in Manhattan. Upon graduation in 1981, he started a solo practice in Sparta and in 1984 opened a second office in Branchville.
Forming a business partnership with Dr. Tim Johnson (who retired in 2012) they combined their four solo offices and opened a fifth office together in Califon in 1985. Dr. Clauss is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Clauss has an interest in relational database programming and business systems.
Dr. Clauss and his wife enjoy raising their three sons in beautiful Northwestern New Jersey. In his spare time, he is active with the Boy Scouts serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster.
As CEO of Northwest Eye Associates, Dr. Clauss is primarily responsible for the oversight and operations of our five offices
