After much success, they opened their second studio on the Wellington Traffic Circle in Medford in 2007. After years of road construction issues that hindered their business, they closed the original Painted Bird in Somerville and moved to a much bigger studio in a much better location just 2 miles away in Davis Square. They reopened their studio under the new name of Boston Tattoo Company in May 2010.
