Business Description

Jason began playing electric bass as a 13-year old in Lexington, MA. He became a serious devotee of jazz at Lexington High School, where he performed with the world-renowned LHS jazz combo and jazz greats such as Herb Pomeroy and Alan Dawson. Jason won many awards for his playing, including the Clifford-Brown Stan Getz Fellowship from the National Association for Advancement of the Arts and many performance awards from Berklee College of Music.

Jason studied jazz bass with Bruce Gertz at Berklee College of Music, then obtained a Masters degree in classical bass performance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. As a graduate student, he taught bass and ear-training to students at UMass, Mount Holyoke College, and Deerfield Academy.

Jason performs a very wide range of music including jazz, classical, pop, theater, Brazilian, and salsa. He currently teaches bass and guitar to many students in the Greater Boston area.
