Maria-Monica Koo was selected by world famous Mariinsky Ballet's artistic director, Oleg Vinogradov to study at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. Miss. Koo is a graduate of the famed Russian school, the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington D.C., where she received a full scholarship during a six year program study. In addition to Kirov, her education and training includes the School of American Ballet, Sunhwa Arts School, La Roche University, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She has also trained with experts in her discipline to include a Master Class with the Paris Opera Ballet, and Suzanne Farrell at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Miss Maria earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts from La Roche College, with her area of specialization in Dance. The Pittsburgh Ballet Guild recognized Miss. Maria as a young talented dancer, and she was selected for an award and scholarship during her years of study at La Roche.
