Business Description

Art has always been a love and a driving force my whole life. I love color and creating! I have dabbled in all kinds of crafts...crocheting, scrap booking, basket weaving, stamping, beading etc. I decided to take the safe track through college and not pursue my love of color except in a hobby context. I have held jobs as a waitress, Mary Kay consultant, custom decorator, furniture salesperson, pharmaceutical rep and a recruiter. I couldn't ignore the little voice inside me that kept nudging me to do what I love. I started researching the industry by going to conventions, pottery camps and hiring a consultant. I wrote a business plan and finally took the leap of faith and opened Art Bayou a year later. I can't imagine doing anything else now. We are grateful for our nearly 15 years in business!
