Jason Strain was born in Long Beach, California and moved to the San Jacinto Valley in the late 80's where he graduated from Hemet High in 1993. He always had interests related to the arts from playing Saxophone to his first job as a dishwasher at a local restaurant.

During his 7 years in the United States Air Force as a linguist then special weapons tech, Chef Strain always had a second job in a restaurant in some capacity. He waited tables, line cooked and managed kitchens.

After Air Force life, Chef Strain moved back to Southern California where he managed several chain restaurants to include Romano's Macaroni Grills.

Now running "All Scratched Up", Chef Strain brings you a creative look into the beauty of Southern California food culture.
