Benjamin Pincus Sensei is the Executive Director and Chief Instructor at Aikido of Champlain Valley. He is a 6th Degree Black Belt and Shidoin (fully certified instructor). "I am continually challenged by my practice of this complex and subtle martial art. I feel like my greatest gift as a teacher is the joy and wonder I find in the practice. I primarily see myself as a student of aikido. I love the fundamental paradox of my practice: in order to deepen my knowledge and gain greater power and finesse, I need to train harder while simultaneously letting go of my desire to improve. I am particularly interested in teaching students seeking an intensive training regimen, but I also like to have a dojo that support a great diversity in terms of personalities, race, gender and class. The heart of aikido is embody love, tolerance and grace without sacrificing intensity, power, and fire. "
